Today is my birthday, or as I usually call it, my burfday. I’m at an age where I suppose I shouldn’t be pronouncing it like that but who cares? I don’t. So yes today is my burfday and I’ve been celebrating it all month long!
here. Oh well. I’ll take what I could get. A week after Dawes was in San Francisco, I went up to San Francisco with my sister to watch the Red Sox play the Giants. Why couldn’t Dawes and I be there together at the same time?! Why???
came right down to it, my heart lies with the Red Sox. So of course, I wanted the Red Sox to win!
Having lived in San Francisco I was quite aware of how chilly it can get. Because of this, I was so close to getting one of these warm fuzzy hats:
I didn’t get the hat, but speaking of Panda…
We had some pretty crazy weather during the first game. The weather did get cold and the skies got really dark, but in the distance we had lightning! Yes, we got a full-on lightning show. Every few minutes we’d see light flash across the sky and the crowd was all, “oooh…ahhh…” I was able to get some on video and capture an image of it.
I can’t help but think it looks like arteries. But I honestly think this lightning generated some energy for the Red Sox to win. And win they did! Well they won the first game. The second game was ugly and didn’t end well but we’ll focus on the good.
There was no way I was going to be in San Francisco and not go for a run. Luckily I was able to run along the Embarcadero. Surprisingly it wasn’t that cold. In fact, it felt a bit humid, but no matter what the temperature was, I was going to get out there no matter what.
in San Francisco and I absolutely love the city. Always have and pretty much
always will! I could definitely see myself living there again. But for now, it’s just nice to get up there even for a brief visit. I’ll always leave my heart in San Francisco.
