Today’s Music Monday was pretty much a no-brainer. Considering next Sunday is the LA Marathon, I had to go with “I Love LA” by Randy Newman since it’s the song that sends off the runners through 26.2 miles of Los Angeles! More specifically, Downtown LA, Echo Park, Silverlake, Los Feliz, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Century City, Westwood, Brentwood, and Santa Monica on the “Stadium to the Sea” course.
Whenever I hear this song, it always brings back those feelings of excitement. Even though I’m not running LA this year, many of my friends are, and it’s for them and for everyone else who is participating, this song goes out to. Of course, they’ll be hearing it again on Sunday morning. Ooh wee! It’s going to be a great day for a marathon!
