There has been a brief break in the Music Monday postings and while it wasn’t exactly intentional, it has been a little necessary. Life has been treading on the hectic and busy side, not to mention a shifting side (I’ll get to that in the next post), and sadly Music Monday did not make my high priority list, unfortunately. But I have a slew of songs I’ve been listening to that I’ll say, have lit up my running mojo again! Starting with this one…and this song couldn’t have been more fitting for the current state of my life.
“Break My Stride” from Matthew Wilder is one of those catchy pop 80’s songs I endearingly like. It’s actually been a long while since I’ve heard it, but I was listening to the 80’s station on Pandora recently (I took a break from the Yacht Rock), and this song popped up as I plodding along my run!
Ain’t nothing gonna break my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down
Oh no, I got to keep on movin’
It was the perfect song to come on at the perfect time. Sometimes I don’t really assign a whole lot of meaning to these types of cheesy songs, but I gotta say, it was like the Universe really wanted me to hear these words. I took note. Plus, I use this song as a good Heart Rate Training song. Bonus!
I’ll also say this video made me laugh for some reason. It’s from the old 80’s show “Solid Gold.” Yeah, I got a kick out of this one.
Enjoy and thanks for reading listening!
