Chicago Marathon Training: T 6.07.22

Posted on June 7, 2022 by arunningmess

3.32 miles (followed by core work which I need to get better at being consistent with)

It was a warm, humid morning for me and I’m not ready for the thickness of the heat to arrive yet. Until it does, I will enjoy the slightly cooler temps and June gloom.

Last night I stayed up 30 minutes longer than I should have. I got caught up in watching Jurassic Park and it’s not like I don’t know what happens. The dinosaurs chew everyone up. Ok, not everyone.

I woke up early but felt tired which could’ve been because of the dinosaurs, or I didn’t drink enough water yesterday. The latter is more likely.

Tomorrow is 3 miles but I see the Novice 2 plan calls for 5. Tempting because I am still participating in the Circumpolar Race Around the World (with my team), and the GVRAT (with just me). Maybe I’ll meet in the middle and aim for 4.
