4.20 miles
Welcome to Week 3!
After that delicious feast I consumed at the Dodgers game yesterday with a yummy veggie dog (with mustard, of course), garlic fries, and churro, I was well fueled for today’s run!
It’s a rest day on the plan but I rested enough yesterday and I had no residual soreness or tiredness from Saturday’s long trail miles so a run was in order.
Resting two days in a row sometimes makes me feel a little more sluggish when I start moving again on the third day.
One solid day of rest in between feels better for me. Now, if I was extra sore or tired, I might have ditched the run, but it wasn’t necessary.
During today’s run, I felt really appreciative for everything right now. It feels really good to be focused on this race and training for it. Something I’ve lacked the last few years. So even though this is only Week 3 and I have many weeks ahead, I’m just really grateful.
Thank you for reading my daily post on my Chicago Marathon training.
