Chicago Marathon Training: F 7.01.22

Posted on July 1, 2022 by arunningmess

2 miles

If a rest day means an easy walk, doing laundry, cleaning the place, and watching the newest episodes of Stranger Things then I had a very successful rest day.

Fun Fact Friday: I just realized last night that the last time I ran Chicago, the race was on October 9, 2016. This year’s race is on October 9. Talk about stranger things.

I also realized, that the week before that race I completed two back-to-back 25-mile trail runs and I’m wondering if I should aim to do that again this year. Ok maybe not.

But when I think back to that time I’m in awe of what I did and how I trained and I’m proud of myself. Sometimes it’s hard to give yourself enough credit and realize what you’re capable of accomplishing. I don’t do that enough and I must change that.

Thank you for reading my daily post on my Chicago Marathon training.
