Chicago Marathon Training: Sun 7.10.22

Posted on July 10, 2022 by arunningmess

2.75 miles

Today was a beautiful restful day with a little walking, a little market shopping, and a little nap time.

Week 5 is completed with 39 miles covered and overall I feel good at this point. Although I’m feeling sleepy-tired today. People are still setting off firecrackers at ungodly hours in the night and disturbing the precious sleep I need.

Also, I’m experimenting with drinking decaf coffee this week. I know, crazy. But I’m also one of those folks who love the taste of coffee and not just for the caffeine so I’m cool with decaf only when the decaf tastes good.

Usually, my coffee is caffeinated or half-caff, but I’m trying to see if it might improve my sleep even with the firecrackers going off which at this point need to be long gone by now but…people.

Thank you for reading my daily post on my Chicago Marathon training.
