Chicago Marathon Training: M 7.11.22

Posted on July 11, 2022 by arunningmess

3.05 miles

My energy was dragging today. Whether the fatigue was due to my higher mileage from last week or because I removed the caffeine from my coffee remains to be seen.

I’ve read caffeine withdrawal can last between 2 to 9 days and if so, today would mark day 2 so perhaps the tiredness will be less prevalent tomorrow. We shall see.

Regardless I was able to do some low-energy walking and a bit of strength training to begin Week 6.

This is a cutback week so I’ll reduce the mileage and focus a little more on areas where I’ve been lacking such as strength and stability exercises. At least try to add a little more focus on those areas. I’ll see how the energy goes.

Thank you for reading my daily post on my Chicago Marathon training.
