10.03 miles
When I woke up, I wasn’t feeling the best. Yesterday afternoon I had a headache. After a couple of Tylenol, it went away but returned later last night. Waking up this morning I could feel the headache trying to surface again but it held off.
After eating a couple of pieces of toast with peanut butter and drinking some coffee and beginning Wordle (which I haven’t finished yet), the headache was gone, and I was ready to move.
My hydration vest was packed with my phone, lip balm, AirPods in case I need some musical distraction (I didn’t), and my fuel, CarboPro. Yes, CarboPro. I went back to what worked for me in the past and CarboPro did.
To be honest, I’m not even sure CarboPro exists anymore. Based on my Google searches the company is no longer active, but my Google search was really only to find out if the supply I’ve had the past couple of years is still safe for me to consume because there is no expiration date listed on the product.
What I found out is if it’s properly stored, it’ll be good for 3 years. Fantastic! I went with it and as it did in the past, it worked for me.
I felt so good throughout these miles. Now, it could’ve been the CarboPro or it could’ve been the easy 1:1 intervals I ran/walked which kept my heart rate on the lower end and I felt energetic the entire time, or it was yesterday’s rest day, or it could’ve been a combination of those things or something else entirely. Either way, I’ll take it!
