Chicago Marathon Training: Sun 8.28.22

Easy walking today because the morning after a long run I assess what feels sore and extra tired and this morning it was my lower calves. The walking helped.

Today I’m also another year older and every day is assessing what feels sore and extra tired.

I told a friend, birthdays are tricky because, on one hand, I’m grateful for another year. Absolutely. Without question. But on the other hand, getting older can be a bit of a bummer for so many reasons. I’m working on making peace with the aging process but it isn’t easy. Much like marathon training. All I can do is take one day at a time and remain grateful for every single one of them. And I am.
