Chicago Marathon Training: Sun 10.02.22

Posted on October 2, 2022 by arunningmess

3.18 miles

I’ll admit yesterday’s run left me confused and discouraged so today I grabbed my Speedgoats and Feetures socks and whispered to them, “You’re both going to the show.”

We all went out for a 3.18 mile run and my entire body from head to toe felt solid and ready for next weekend. My confidence has increased going into race week.

Seventeen weeks of marathon training are over and I still can’t believe how fast this training cycle has flown by. There were highs and lows, bumps and detours, great runs and not-so-great runs, and I’m grateful for all of it.

The hard part is almost over. Now I need to get through the last remaining week and show up to that start line next Sunday morning feeling the best I can.

Thank you for reading my daily post on my Chicago Marathon training.
