If I had to rate Week 6 training on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being zero miles, zero strength training, and zero of anything running-related and 10 being the most perfectly executed productive training week, I’d say it’s nestled comfortably around a 4.
My training wasn’t great but it wasn’t absolute rubbish either. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 or 6 is because while I got miles in, I didn’t complete any strength training and strength training is essential.
Now that it’s Week 7, I need to make time for my strength and mobility exercises and all that jazz.
Last week, my Circumpolar Race Around the World (CRAW) teammates and I began our final leg of our virtual world tour!
Since September 2020 we have travelled virtually around the world walking and running through towns, villages, remote areas, and cities in countries I doubt I’ll have the opportunity to travel through other than virtually.
Participating in the CRAW is an experience like none I’ve had before and I lucked out with some incredible people on our team.
It’s an odd feeling of spending this much time with people you’ve never met and have only communicated through our social media channels.
Our final region is 2563 miles through Asia and I’m not sure we’ll be finished by the time Marine Corps Marathon rolls around but I’m in no rush to complete either.
Thank you for reading and I’m wishing you a great week!
