To say 2018 was a busy, and challenging year would be an understatement. It certainly had its fair share of struggles, and trying hard to have unwavering faith tested me at times. But it was one of the best rewarding running years I’ve ever had and it started on Day 1.

Quicksilver 50K 2018
Quicksilver has been on my race radar for a few years now. Back in 2015, I knew my Spring 2016 race was going to come down to either Quicksilver or Miwok, and I told myself if I didn’t get into Miwok through its lottery, I’d hop on over to my second choice, Quicksilver. Of course,…
Leona Divide 50 2018
Going into the Leona Divide 50 Mile, my body wasn’t feeling 100%. Recently, I’ve been experiencing a weird sensation on the outside of my left leg; below the hip and above the knee. It doesn’t hurt when I run. It doesn’t hurt at all. No pain whatsoever, but something is there. I can feel something…

Leona Divide: The Last Long Training Run
25 weeks. That’s exactly the amount of time since my last race. And now, I’m staring down 4 days. That is, 4 days until I line up for my first race of the year, the Leona Divide 50K.
A Morning at the Races: Griffith Park Trail Races
Prior to last weekend’s Griffith Park Trail Races (GPTR) which consisted of a Half Marathon, Marathon, and newly featured 50K, this was the only Keira Henninger race I have not been involved with in some way, shape, or form. She organizes seven races – that I know of – so I suppose it was only…
